Home Air Conditioning
With air conditioning you can create the comfort in which you feel best, with the right temperature and a comfortable humidity. Modern air conditioners produce clean, healthy fresh air, dehumidify the air and prevent mold. All of this is able with neither draught nor noise.
In short, air conditioning makes you feel better, more active and fit, resulting in many advantages, because he or she who feels better is more creative and productive.
And who doesn't like to be in a shop, café, restaurant or hotel with air conditioning, certainly in the summer?

Comfort Cooling and Heating Systems
Air Source Climate Control can design and provide a comfort cooling and heating solution for any domestic application; this could range from a single split unit for a conservatory and multi-systems to cover bedrooms, living areas and kitchens.
Our individually designed and installed systems consist of the current technology for low energy consumption and are all totally environmentally friendly. Our systems are based on the ‘Inverter Heat Pump’ technology which provides efficient & energy saving cooling or heating depending on your preferred temperature requirements throughout the year.
Types of Air Conditioning systems
Split Air Conditioning Systems
The split air conditioning system is the most popular form of installed air conditioning system. They are called ‘split systems’ is because they comprise of an indoor unit which is either mounted to a wall, ceiling or floor. This unit re-circulates the air within the room, either in cooling or heating operation. This indoor unit is then connected to an outdoor unit called a condenser by a pair of copper pipes which contain refrigerated liquid.
The pipes are very small in diameter & are protected by an insulating jacket due to the very low operational temperatures of the refrigerated liquid. They operate at an extremely low noise frequency and are commonly mounted on an external wall, are free standing on a flat roof or can be integrated into an external housing or plant room. The heat is removed from the room by the indoor unit absorbing it into the refrigeration liquid and then dissipated to the atmosphere by the outdoor condenser. As the heat is continuously taken out of the room via the indoor unit the temperature within the room is reduced.
The indoor unit can be set to a desired operational temperature including the air circulation with a fan speed control. When heating is required, the system can be run in reverse; this will then take heat from the outdoor condenser and transfer it to the indoor unit to increase the room temperature.
Multi Split Air Conditioning
A multi split air conditioning system operates in much the same way as a split system but can enable a number of indoor units to be individually controlled from a single outdoor condenser. The multi split systems may be up to four internal units and can be operated in cooling or heating only. The benefits of a multi unit are that it can treat a number of rooms whilst reducing the number of external condenser units into one, therefore reducing equipment cost and the space required for outdoor units.
Types of internal units
Wall units - are very compact, light weight and suitable for small to medium size rooms. These units are generally no greater than 20cm in depth and are usually the most popular due to their size and being the most affordable type of air conditioner.
Floor mounted units - are mounted directly to the floor and are suitable where there is inadequate wall or ceiling space. The units are ideal for positioning along perimeter walls in open-plan offices as well as small to medium sized rooms. They are a little more expensive, but the floor standing air conditioner is a neat and very compact unit.
Ceiling units/Cassette units - are quiet and very compact. The cassette is installed into a ceiling with only the grill exposed and requires no more than 25mm to 28mm in depth when concealed within the ceiling void. They provide total control over air flow within the room and benefit from very low noise levels. This is due to the reduced air velocity through the four sides which also helps reduce any draughts or ‘dead zones’.
Fan Coil units - are usually completely concealed and the ultimate in discretion whilst still providing a balanced, uniform temperature throughout the room. They are installed within ceiling voids, floor spaces, walls or attic spaces and deliver conditioned cool or warm air via grills & diffusers. The units can be connected to any style of air-diffuser, greatly increasing the scope for attractive interior design within the room by keeping the unit ‘low profile’. One of the great advantages is that should the room layout be changed, the air grills or diffusers can be repositioned to suit the new layout with minimum disruption.
